T|BAR AT THE CHELSEA HOTEL, TORONTO IS NOW OPEN
New Lobby Lounge Conveys Warmth and a Contemporary Style

TORONTO – The Chelsea Hotel, Toronto is pleased to announce the official opening of T|Bar, the venue of choice for a pre-dinner beverage or late-night cocktail for hotel guests and the local community. This impressive new modern and vibrant lobby lounge is an Eaton brand signature addition to the newly branded hotel.

T|Bar is celebrating the classic Canadian Caesar with a new twist – Executive Chef Brian MacAskill has created a homemade Clamato juice as the key ingredient for the five specially created c|aesars; The Classic, The Checkout, The Whasssaabi, The T|Garden and The Latin Dancer.

Back by popular demand is the authentic Indian lunch buffet which is available Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The buffet includes traditional Indian curry dishes all of which are prepared from scratch. And, beginning this fall, T|Bar will feature Brunch every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

T|Bar is open every day from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and also features a scrumptious and varied à-la-carte menu prepared from local ingredients - for both lunch and dinner. About Executive Chef Brian MacAskill

Born on the cusp of the Atlantic in Newfoundland, Canada's rock province, Executive Chef Brian MacAskill has an innate connection to the land. He understands the impact that honest, fresh ingredients can make on the palate and has been an advocate of local foods for over a decade. Toronto trained at George Brown College, Brian excels at artfully combining culinary flavours and textures. He is the recipient of several awards, including Top Canadian Apprentice and the prestigious Nestle Touque d'Or Medallion. Having transformed through all manners of haute cuisines, Brian's food philosophy has come full circle, landing directly and firmly in the rich soil of Ontario. As an Executive Chef, he ensures there is always a place reserved on his menu to feature local farmers and artisan food producers. As a culinary educator, Brian conveys to his students, his passion for understanding the connection between the farm and the fork. When not in the kitchen, you just might find him pulling carrots from the dark earth of Holland Landing or visiting pasture cattle on one of the hotel's partner farms, ensuring first hand, that he brings the premiere goodness of Ontario's bounty to your table.
